Kämppä on puhdas, siisti ja nätti. Ainakin siihen asti, että alivuokralainen saapuu :D Itse istun para-aikaa junassa kohti Torniota, joka vie sen noin 13 tuntia, matkustusta kolmella eri junalla ja rakkaalla Fiat Puntolla.

Lähettelin tosiaan maanantaina sähköpostia Portugalin suuntaan ja tulihan se vastaus tänään. Sen verran täytyy todeta, että olen tottunut lappeen Rannoilla vähän liian hyvään palveluun (tai lähinnä sen tarjoajanahan olen ollut). Kyselin vähän, edellisen Portugalissa olleen harjoittelijan blogin perusteella, josko löytyisi joku minua vastaan Lissabonin lentokentälle. Noooh tuli mulle ohjeet. "Ota taksi, mee paikkaan X, ota bussi Y Leiriaan, kestää n. 2h, Leiriassa ota taksi majoitukseen. Maanantaina kävele 15 min bussipysäkille, ota bussi (x minuuttia) Marinha Grandeen." Varmaan lienee tuo MG sen verta pieni paikka että noilla ohjeilla löydän sitten työpaikalleni klo 9.30. Okei oli siinä myös maininta et voit kysyä asuntolan respasta muita neuvoja tai sitten voin kontaktoida facebookissa Leiriassa jo olevia harkkareita, että miten he kulkee. No tuota, hankala on kontaktoida ketään kun a) ette oo lisänny minua kaveriksi b) en tiedä muita Leiriassa harkkareina olevia tyyppejä. Mut kassellaan miten tässä käy.

Ai niin joo, lähetin tosiaan ESN:llekin siellä suunnassa spostia ja vastaus tuli parissa tunnissa. Olivat innoissaan, että olen tulossa ja pyysivät apua että saataisiin ESN Leiria pystyyn.. Mut kassellaan miten tässä käy ;)

Apartment is clean, clean and nice. At least until the moment my subrenter will arrive there :D I'm sitting at the moment in a train towards Helsinki, but I'll change in Lahti and in Riihimäki to night train. I'll arrive in Kemi around 12 hours later where hopefully my parents are waiting for me to take me homehome.

On Monday I sent the email to Portugal to ask about arrival and better details from my internship. I must have gotten used to a bit better handling of matters in lappeen Ranta, since I was slightly annoyed by the answer. In Lappee we go and get them from railwaystation, take them home, show them around etc. Well... I got an answer. "In Lisbon, take taxi to place X, then take bus Y to Leiria. In Leiria take taxi to accommodation. On Monday walk around 15 minutes to bus stop, take a bus (of x minutes) to Marinha Grande". Well I would assume MG to be small enough for me to find also the reserach center before 9.30am. OK, they did tell me to ask more help from accommodation reception or from the other trainees. They also told me to befriend with the other trainees already now via facebook, but that is a bit difficult, since a) I don't know who they are b) IAESTE Portugal still hasn't approved my friend request.. But we'll see what happens...

Oh yeah, I also got a response from ESN in like 2 hours after the email :P They were exited to have me there and asked me to help them set up a section in Leiria... But we'll see what happens ;)

9 days to Portugal! 1 night to Tornio!

Lähtöön ei ole enää alle kaks viikko ja erinäisiä valmisteluja on tullut tehtyä.

Perjantaina juhlittiin läksiäisiä ja tyhjennettiin jääkaappia sekä pakastinta. Myös Iltatähdelle käytiin sanomassa heipat. Kämpän alivuokraajan tapasin lauantaina ja sovittiin mitä jätän ja mitä en tänne omaan lukaaliini. Portugalin suunnalta taas majoitus on selvinnyt. Siitä sitten lisää kun sinne asti pääsen.

Vielä olisi hoidettavana vakuutus- ja postiasioita - niin ja kämpän pakkaus tietenkin. Kämppä alkaa olla jo ihan ok tilassa. Tänä päivänä pitäisi kuitenkin saada kamat kasaan ja huomenna mopin varteen kiinni. Tavoitteena olisi päästä lähtemään jo huomenna yöjunalla pohjoiseen mutta jos keskiviikolle menee niin menkööt.

Tänään laitoin myös Portugaliin viestiä, jos sieltä jotain tietoa tulisi missä ja milloin pitäisi olla menossa töihin. Vähän jännää, että mitään tietoa ei ole kuulunut mistään suunnasta. Eilen illalla laitoin viestiä myös ESN Portugalille jos heidänkin kanssaan pääsisi hengaamaan erinäisissä kaupungeissa. Leiriassa ei ole omaa ESN-jaosta mutta lähikaupungeista semmoinen jo löytyy :)

 It's less than 2 weeks to Portugal and I've been doing all kinds of preparations. (TL =today left)

On Friday I had farewell party and my fridge and freezer is a bit more empty than it was before the party. I also went to Iltatähti to say bye bye. ON saturday I met the person renting my apartment during the internship and we talked what I can left behind and what I'll take away. Apartment situation in Portugal is already settled, but more from that when I get there.

I still have some insurance and post things to do - and of course pack my apartment. It's already in pretty ok state and I plan on finishing packing today and then cleaning tomorrow. I'd wish to leave to the north already tomorrow but if it takes until wednesday then be it.

Today I sent email to Portugal, just to find out when and where I need to go exactly when I start working. It's a bit crazy there's no information on that matter arrived yet. Yesterday evening I send an email to ESN Portugal to get some contact information of the nearest ESN sections to Leiria. There's no section in Leiria, but I should be able to join the activities of the other sections :)
